📲 Step-by-Step Guide: Download & Set Up Microsoft Authenticator
🧩 Step 1: Download the App
• iPhone/iPad (iOS):• Open the App Store
• Search for "Microsoft Authenticator"
• Tap Get and authenticate with Face ID or Apple ID if prompted
• Android Devices:• Open the Google Play Store
• Search for "Microsoft Authenticator"
• Tap Install
🔐 Step 2: Open the App & Grant Permissions
• Launch the app after installation
• Allow necessary permissions (camera, notifications) so it can scan QR codes and send alerts
🧑💻 Step 3: Add Your Account
• Tap the + icon in the app
• Choose the type of account:• Work or school account (usually provided by your institution)
• Personal account (like Outlook, Gmail, etc.)
• You'll be prompted to scan a QR code or sign in manually
🧾 Step 4: Get the QR Code from Your School or Microsoft Account
• Log into your school or Microsoft account on a computer
• Go to Security Settings → Two-step verification → Set up Authenticator
• A QR code will appear on screen
• Use your phone to scan it via the Authenticator app
✅ Step 5: Test It Out
• Try logging into your school portal or Microsoft account
• You'll receive a notification or be asked to enter a code from the app
• Approve the sign-in or enter the code to complete authentication
